Program Options for Students 9-12 Years of Age
Foundations of Musical Theatre
This course will provide students with the necessary tools to increase their stage performing abilities. Students will explore concepts such as scene work and choreography from both classic and popular musicals. Students will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and talents during the winter and spring productions held at the end of each semester.
Musical Theatre I
This course will continue to build on the students’ prior knowledge of Musical Theatre. Through a wide variety of activities, such as games and improvisation, students will learn about stage presence while perfecting articulation and choreography.
Theatre & Performance
This course is designed to prepare students for performances beyond Theatrical Corner. Students who wish to audition in school or community productions will have the opportunity to work on advanced choreography and scene production.
Introduction to Comedy
This course provides students with a wide variety of improvisation games as students work to perfect their comedic skills. Teachers will help students to think quickly, work collectively and enjoy themselves while creating great comedy!
